'they' say it doesn't matter how far you travel around the world, you never explore your own locale. Well, that certainly applies to me, to an extent.
I know the important historical facts about the main town, and where everything is in relation to everything else, but as to where I live...........hmmmmmm.
Lately, I've been too tied up with medical appointments and stuff, to be able to explore too far afield. So today being warm and sunny, I put my walking shoes on, and decided to see what, if anything, I could find in South Ashford.
Yes, that's South Ashford, not south Ashford. It was once a small village on the outskirts, but is now just a suburb of the town, along with Beaver.
So far, I've not found too much of interest, but I'm certain there will be a fair bit more to come. So, I've added sections for South Ashford and Beaver to the bottom of the page for Ashford.
Meanwhile, enjoy the last days of Summer and get out and about. I certainly will, as and when I can. And remember - 'if Winter comes, can Spring be far behind?'
