St. Cosmos & St, Damian church
The village is now divorced
from its’ church, as the villagers moved away from the site of plague when the
area was hit by the Black Death. In the 14th. Century. The new
village was built a mile away from the church.
And the lane between the two is definitely NOT suitable for ordinary motorcycles! You really need an ADV or Trail bike!
Sadly it was all locked up today. Ah well............
One of the most isolated churches in Kent, situated on a lane that was closed to through traffic following the emparkation of Eastwell in the sixteenth century.
