The name apparently means 'the prayer-house in the woods'
Really the gateway to Snowdonia. Betwys, which lays on the main A5 road through North Wales to Holyhead, is loved for the Swallow Falls. Unfortunately, the last time I was there, we'd had a dry summer, so they were little less than impressive.
